Shehu Sani reacts after Akufo Addo said that West Africa will miss Buhari because he brought peace

Senator Shehu Sani, the former senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has responded to Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo's praise of President Muhammadu Buhari

Akufo-Addo had stated that Buhari would be missed by West Africa because he brought peace and displayed leadership acumen. However, Senator Shehu Sani expressed his disagreement with the Ghanaian president's remarks.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Senator Sani pointed out the grave challenges that Nigeria has faced during President Buhari's administration. He highlighted the high number of casualties, with over 63,000 people killed, approximately four million displaced by terrorists, and numerous Nigerians kidnapped for ransom. He argued that these tragedies should not be wished for or celebrated by the people of Ghana.

Senator Sani's response reflects his belief that the security situation in Nigeria contradicts the notion that President Buhari has brought peace to the West African region. By emphasizing the loss of lives, displacement, and kidnappings, he challenges the idea that Buhari's tenure should be commended for its peace-building efforts.
